Nextdoor Limits Business Posts – Here’s What That Means for You

News & Updates, Uncategorized

At Tuff Techies, we believe in keeping our community informed, protected, and connected. From tech scam alerts to new technology tips and exclusive discounts, our goal has always been to share helpful information as often as possible across all major social media platforms.

Most platforms—including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter (X), and Yelp — support this by allowing businesses to post as often as needed. These platforms understand that timely communication matters, and they place no limits on how frequently businesses can update their followers.

Nextdoor’s Restriction

However, Nextdoor is the only social media platform that restricts legitimate businesses to just three posts per week. This limitation makes it difficult for companies like Tuff Techies and other legitimate local small businesses to provide real-time updates that our community depends on—especially our senior customers who count on us for scam alerts, tech support guidance, and special promotions.

Unfortunately, exceeding Nextdoor’s limit can even result in a business page being banned or deactivated. This has already happened to our page in the past. To prevent that from happening again, Tuff Techies will now only post three times a week on Nextdoor.

When Posts Go Missing on Nextdoor

We’ve had multiple customers and neighbors contact us by phone and email asking where our posts have gone. Sometimes, important alerts or tips we thought everybody saw are missing from Nextdoor. It’s confusing for everyone—seniors especially—when a scam warning or discount doesn’t show up. We want to be transparent: we hear you, and it’s often Nextdoor’s policies (or enforcement of them) that cause our posts to disappear or be hidden without warning.

Nextdoor’s rules don’t just limit how often we can post—they also include punishments if a business posts more than the allowed posts per week. Violations can lead to a suspension of business pages (anywhere from 3 to 30 days), deletion of the posts that Nextdoor deems excessive, and, in more serious or repeated cases, even deactivation or banning of the business page altogether.

What Can We Do About It?

While we can’t change Nextdoor’s restrictive business rules, we can take steps as a community to make sure you still get the information you need. Here’s how you can help:

  • Follow Us on Other Platforms – Facebook, Instagram, Twitter (X), and Yelp allow us to share unlimited updates. By following us there, you’ll never miss scam alerts, tech tips, or discounts.
  • Spread the Word – If you see one of our posts, share it with your neighbors, friends, or family who might not be connected on other platforms.
  • Reach Out Directly – If you ever feel like you’re missing updates, call, email, or visit us. We’re always happy to answer questions or provide guidance directly.
  • Provide Feedback to Nextdoor – If you’re frustrated by their limitations, let them know. Feedback from real users carries weight, and enough voices might spark change.

Together, we can work around these restrictions to keep Prescott Valley informed, connected, and protected.

How to Stay Fully Informed

To ensure you don’t miss important updates, we encourage all of our customers and neighbors to also follow us on our other social media platforms. These outlets allow us to share unlimited helpful content, including:

  • Scam warnings and security alerts
  • New technology tips and tutorials
  • Exclusive discounts and promotions
  • Local tech news and community updates

Follow us on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter (X), and Yelp for the absolute most information and updates about Tuff Techies.

Final Note

We remain committed to supporting Prescott Valley and the surrounding communities with timely, transparent, and helpful information. While Nextdoor’s restrictions limit our ability to fully share, our other social platforms remain open and active, so you can always stay connected with us.
