Wecom Fiber to Deliver High-Speed Fiber Internet to 25,000 Prescott Valley Homes and Businesses

Prescott Valley, AZ – Arizona-based internet service provider Wecom Fiber has officially announced a major investment in Prescott Valley: a privately funded, $35 million project to bring lightning-fast, high-speed fiber broadband to more than 25,000 homes and businesses across the town.

Approved unanimously by the Prescott Valley Town Council, construction is expected to begin within weeks and be completed in approximately 18 months. Once complete, residents and business owners will have access to one of the fastest and most reliable internet connections available in today’s market.

“High-speed fiber broadband is a true game-changer for Prescott Valley,” said Paul Fleming, CEO of Wecom. “With this fully Wecom-funded project, Prescott Valley families, students, and workers will gain access to affordable, high-speed fiber internet that sets a new standard for reliability and performance.”

Wecom’s fiber broadband infrastructure will support multi-gigabit internet speeds, ideal for streaming, remote work, gaming, online learning, and all other bandwidth-heavy tasks. Unlike traditional cable connections, fiber internet delivers symmetric upload and download speeds and is far more resilient during peak usage times.

This expansion also brings long-awaited competition to the local internet market. For years, Sparklight has been the primary high-speed provider in Prescott Valley, but Wecom’s arrival should finally introduce a true equivalent competitor in terms of speed, reliability, and customer service. This competition could drive better pricing, performance, and innovation, benefiting the entire community.

Wecom’s reach extends beyond Prescott Valley. The company is currently deploying fiber broadband in several unincorporated Yavapai County communities, including Cordes Lakes, Spring Valley, White Horse Ranch, Paulden, Rimrock, and Beaver Creek. Statewide, Wecom is involved in large-scale projects across Coconino, Mohave, La Paz, Pinal, and Yavapai counties, including a $45 million fiber installation in Flagstaff.

As soon as fiber installation is complete in Prescott Valley, Tuff Techies will be ready to assist local residents and businesses with their transition from their current provider to Wecom Fiber. Our team will offer in-home setup, equipment upgrades, Wi-Fi optimization, and support to ensure a seamless switch with minimal downtime. Whether you’re a tech novice or a savvy user, we’ll make sure you get the most out of your new fiber connection. You can visit the Wecom Fiber website here for more information.

“Wecom is Arizona-based and committed to eliminating the digital divide and ensuring every community has access to the very best fiber broadband,” Fleming added. “We are thrilled to begin construction in Prescott Valley and look forward to delivering the lightning-fast broadband this community needs and deserves.
